Family Life - Marriage Preparation and the Married
 

Teams of Our Lady

When formed and by who:

  • France 1939
  • Fr Henri Cafferel and four couples who wished to discuss their spiritual life in relation to their marriage.
    Under the patronage of Our Lady as she is the one who leads us to Christ, who is. the centre of our Spiritual Life

What recognition was given and when:

  • April 19th 1992
  • The Pontifical Council for the Laity decreed recognition of the Equipe Notre Dame as an international association of the faithful.

Mission of the movement:

  • To help member couples live fully their vocation of marriage.
  • At the request of the church take part in its Pastoral Ministry especially as it relates to marriage and family life.

Structure:

  • Movement: Responsible couples in regions and super-regions whose purpose is to animate and support the "Teams" in their region. These responsible couples make contributions to the development of the movement and how they can best provide support for our couples. We also gather every 6
    years to review the orientation of the movement.
  • Team : 4 - 7 couples (responsibility rotation)
    Chaplain
    All initiatives carried out through formation of "Teams"
  • Our way of life - Personal, Couple and Family Prayer Individual and Couple Rule of Life
    Sit Down
    Retreat
    Magnificat
    Days Pay
    Monthly Meeting – Meal, Sharing, Reading of scripture, Prayer, Study Topic, Sharing on endeavours
